How are the dates and times exported from Custify?
1 min
If any date attribute is sent into Custify with a full timestamp, you need to keep in mind the following:
- The dates/times that you see in the UI are automatically translated by the browser into the time zone of your operating system
- The dates/times that you see in the CSV/XLSX exports are in UTC
Here’s how this might be reflected in your experience with Custify:
- You are sending a date attribute with the format 02/01/2022 00:00 AM. Your account’s time zone is UTC+1 (the UK).
- One of your team members is located in Romania (time zone UTC+3). They will see the same attribute as 02/02/2022, 02:00 AM.
- If you export the client in a CSV/XLSX file, the same attribute will be 02/01/2022 11:00 PM
Therefore, depending on where your team is located, the export could reflect a few hours difference and, sometimes, this translates into a one-day difference.
